The Birth of Terkidi Leadership and Networking Centre — And What It Means

Under the stewardship and visionary guidance of LNC President General Akinyi Odago, a new chapter has officially begun. The successful registration of the enterprise arm of the Luo National Congress marks not merely an administrative milestone, but the birth of a generational movement grounded in structure, access, and strategic intent.

The idea of Terkidi was conceived through rigorous brainstorming sessions among committed members who recognized the urgent need to consolidate opportunity for the Luo people across Piny Luo. Its legal establishment affirms more than existence; it affirms commitment. It signals that the vision has moved from aspiration to institution — from conversation to coordinated action.

At its core, Terkidi Leadership and Networking Centre is dedicated to advancing education, leadership development, and global career mobility through structured scholarships, mentorship, and international placement programs. In an era where knowledge determines power and networks determine influence, Terkidi positions qualified young Luo professionals to access and compete within the vast opportunities of the global economy.

For too long, individual brilliance has existed in isolation, scattered and unsupported. Terkidi provides a platform for consolidation — where talent is organized, mentorship is intentional, and collective strength becomes strategic leverage. It transforms scattered excellence into coordinated advancement.

From Mahagi to Malakal, from Kisumu to Gambella — across the breadth of Piny Luo — a bridge is being built: a bridge connecting talent to opportunity, skill to structure, and ambition to execution.

Following registration, the President has appointed Ms. Adong Christine Josephine as the full Manager of LNC International Programs. Her mandate is clear: to mentor and prepare applicants through the entire process — from application review to successful placement and relocation. To ensure integrity and excellence, several key committees have been constituted, including the Application Review Committee, Interview Panel, Pre-Departure Briefing Committee, Placement Support Committee, and Alumni Network Committee. These structures affirm that LNC is deliberate, organized, and equal to the task ahead.

A Merit-Based Platform for a New Generation

LNC thrives on merit, and Terkidi embodies that principle. It offers structured networking, mentorship, global learning pathways, and collective bargaining power in international markets. Its birth affirms a profound truth: the solutions to the challenges facing our people must come from within — through unity, organization, discipline, and strategic collaboration.

Terkidi stands as proof of member sacrifice, resilience, and shared vision. It now calls upon Luos — especially those in Kenya — to onboard, contribute their skills, organize around their talents, and seize this defining moment. The platform exists. The structure is ready. The time to act is now.
