In Loving Memory of Madam Josephine Laker Oluoch (2025), Interim President, Luo Artisans Association

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15

The LNC family joins together in mourning the passing of our beloved Interim President of the Luo Artisans Association, Madam Josephine Laker Oluoch. Josephine went to be with the Lord on the 20.07.2025 after complications arising from high blood pressure and diabetes.

Her passing has left a deep void in our hearts and in the entire Luo National Congress. Josephine was not only a leader but a woman of faith, vision, and compassion — a true embodiment of integrity, dedication, and unity. Her life was a living testimony of love in action and her leadership a beacon of strength for many.

In a message from her beloved husband, Mr. Charles Oluoch Oloo, he expressed profound gratitude to the LNC family:

“Kindly accept my greetings in Jesus’s name.
I find it incumbent upon me to extend my deepest gratitude to the entire LNC family for standing with me during the most difficult moment of my life – the passing on of my beloved wife, Josephine Laker Oluoch.

LNC has been part of our journey. We met here, and we decided not just to talk, but to live and walk the talk. Though Laker has gone to be with the Lord, our two families, Pajimo and Siaya, remain united in love and faith.

Your prayers, encouragement, presence, and unwavering support meant more than words can express. In my time of grief, you offered comfort and strength, and I felt surrounded by genuine love and care.

Thank you for walking with me on this painful journey. May God richly bless each of you for your kindness and compassion.”

The LNC Interim Administration extends its heartfelt appreciation to all members who, in thought, word, and deed, stood with the family of our departed leader. Your acts of love and solidarity exemplify the very spirit Josephine championed throughout her life.

We especially acknowledge the presence and representation of:

  • Mr. Lawrence Oketayot, Interim President, Luo Business Administration Association
  • Mr. Tito Okello, Secretary General
  • Ms. Adong Christine Josephine and Mr. McBaker Ochola of LICTA

Your dignified presence and service at the burial of our dear sister and colleague were deeply felt and sincerely appreciated.

As we remember Madam Josephine Laker, we honor a life well-lived – one that inspired others to serve, to lead with grace, and to love without boundaries. Her legacy of faith, unity, and compassion will continue to guide us as we build upon the foundation she helped lay.

May her soul rest in eternal peace and may the comfort of the Lord continue to strengthen her husband, family, and all who mourn her loss.

With love and gratitude,
The LNC Interim Administration
WAN ACIEL.
